Maybe 20-24 hrs. Others will reply soon. Smiles to you and GBO BEAT the cowbells.

Due to a snafu in the time our guests arrived, I once extended a butt to 26 hours. Amazingly there was still some lump left. Course you want to fill the firebox pretty well for a long cook. By the way the butt was 210 degrees when pulled and it was excellent.

I have been getting 22-23 hrs out of a load @ 225 on a very regular basis. Hope this helps.

Longest cook I ever did was 20 hours. Still had quite a bit of lump left at the bottom!

Ditto. Welcome to the Cult BTW.

Ken,
Not that when most people refer to temps below 240-250*, they are usually meaning the grid temp. The dome temp, since it is higher, will usually be 20-25* higher than the grid.
Cooking at 225* dome temp will make it difficult to get your butt done, since the grid temp will be at or close to your goal temp.
Most people suggest cooking butts or other slow cooks at 240-250* DOME temp. Much easier to keep regulated, also.
If you are going to do many low slow cooks you should look into a power draft system. I have the older model of BBQ Guru for my large BGE. The newest version is digital and called DigiQ II. Then you can set the GRID temp for 225* and enjoy a good night's sleep!
