I just bought a large in addition to the original xl I own. Just fired up the large for a brisket I will make chili out of. It is amazing how much easier the large gets up to temp compared to the xl. Is this the experience of others as well?

Both work equally well for me. I have no probelms getting either up to temp.

Mine get to temp about the same, You will like the Xl and large combo.

I don't have a large, but my XL gets up to temp very fast. At least as fast as my medium, if not faster.
