Clean burning the egg

After cooking 6 butts on the XL a few weeks ago,I needed to clean up the mess.I fired it up to 700 and let it burn for a while.Here's a few pics of the smoke.Someone actually called the fire dept,thinking that my house was on fire 
Anyway,I heard the sirens coming and met the police car at the street to tell them that it was a false alarm :ohmy: He called and cancelled the firetruck :laugh: I have such thoughtful neighbors

So where are the pictures of the inside after the burn-off?

No after pics :pinch: .I didn't open it back up till later that day to cook dinner,and didn't think about it.It wasn't spotless,but I think I burnt off most of the grease :ohmy: Here's the before though

I'd bring a butt by the firehouse and tell them sorry for the next time it happens :P
I heard someone say they called the FD prior to doing a couple big clean burns. -

I hear ya Adam.I did the burn in the morning and there wasn't even a tiny breeze.The smoke just rolled over the front of the house :ohmy: Next time I may wait till the wind picks up a little :P BTW:My buddy was a fireman at the station down the road,and I used to feed them every now and then
