I dunno...don't the germs cook off???
  -
they cook with the skewer end hanging outside the cooker so you can just grab the cool contaminated ends and roll rotate remove from grill etc. im not sure i would use these on pork or poultry, maybe lamb and beef, veggies and fruit. am i seeing something wrongfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

I have not seen the video. I use my fire wire quite often with shrimp and I have the whole fire wire in the BGE and use gloves to turn them...but that is just me..

no problem with that, these guys are hanging them outside the cookerfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

You can always throw them inside the cooker for the first couple minutes to sterilize them.

My take is that it's a dumbo gadget! Try to envision turning your kabobs that are skewered by a single, snakey, wire.. Good luck!!

i like my homemade ones single and double points for different food types. i just see someone watching that video, buying the product and getting sick from itfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

just keep that in mind when using them

Do you always wash your utinsels off when you put your meat on the grill? Most people don't, I do.
Personally I'd probably leave some room and wash the ends before I put them on the grill, I doubt I'd put them in the marinade either. -
I pretty much agree. Not that anyone is a dumbo who may have bought them. They just seem gimmicky to me.

i cook half way with the first set then change up

ROTFL...well it wouldn't be the worst thing I ever bought. If all else fails probably take them fishing.

I like them because I can get a lot of food (mostly shrimp) on one fire wire and they are flexible so I can shape them to the grid I am using. I often cook with them while cooking something else on the same grid. The flexibility of the product is nice and they are easy to flip..I keep the entire fire wire in the BGE while cooking...no issues so far...
