So we did a cook as well ... and for the record ... Erin Eggs with me often ... I just do all the 'dirty' work because I like cooking outside ... but she can handle her own on the egg!

So yes, we did do a cook tonight ... Filet Mignon ... I decided to marinade for a couple hours ... equal parts red wine, soy sauce, honey, olive oil ... and a heavy pinch of red pepper .... smoked on the large about 300 deg with a hint of hickory for about 10 min per side ... seared on the small at HOT for 1 minute per side ... came out perrrrfect.

Took remaining marinade and mixed in mushrooms, shallots, garlic, red wine and salt so we had a 'mushroom glaze' on the steak.

And yes RRP (thanks for the unique suggestion) ... I went with some potato balls. Cooked in a cast iron on the large ... also did asparagus on the small after searing the filet's.

Not TOO fancy ... but I present you with ... the 'engagement cook.'
