no wise cracks about the "canned crab" please, I live in the rural desert and fresh seafood is impossible to get (some frozen, some 3Xs thawed, but never fresh )

the cook:
took about 50 minutes at 300 -- couldn't get MBGE any higher with once used lump, wiggled
the eats :woohoo:
not bad, but FRESH LOBSTER on top would have been Fantastic :woohoo:

Great cook, kari. Good "make do" when you can't get fresh seafood!

My wife loves seafood and grew up on mac and cheese. She's at work and I'm retired. Looks so good, I'm going to the (sorry) sea food store and surprise her for dinner. Thanks for the information and pix
-
That's such a sweet thing to do. You're really going to score some brownie points with your wife on this one.

Nice Kari. What are you cooking this weekend? Why are your dessert pics always blurry? :woohoo:

Two things, first, I love Smoking Loon. The first time I saw the cork I was a fan...the wine isn't bad either.
Second: whenever I tried to make Mac N Cheese my cheese turns out kinda grainy, like its broken down, the texture is not at all pleasing...not creamy. I start with a rue (sure that's spelled wrong), add half and half and then melt in a misture of cheddar and mexican white cheese. Any advice? -
medium heat and keep stirrin
