Drowning in Georgia

About 6 months ago I was ready to pull all the shrubs in my yard and plant cacti. Georgia was in an enormous, prolonged drought. Now I have more mushrooms growing in my front yard than a Campbell's Soup farm. We are flooded. In all this dampness, I'll be danged if I can get the hardwood to light. Anybody got any great ideas for keeping the hardwood dry inside the Egg or do you just have to add new charcoal ever time?

Being as I'm in AZ., don't have a real clue but will make a guess.

ADD new lump with the old, mix it up and you should be good to go. (? Assumeing your new lump is Not Damp)

Others will chime in with different opinions.
