Pizza night.... again (lotta pics)

Seems like all I've posted as of late is Pizza. Not sure why I have this strange obsession with cooking pizza lately. Guess it's that I never realized it was possible to cook one outdoors before the Egg came along a few months ago. That, and the prospect of getting better at it, I guess are the reasons. Anyhoo, here was last night's effort, turned out extremely well.
Rolled out on parchment paper, hey- they're almost round!

Brushed on some evoo first, then Dei Fratelli sauce

For these, I changed it up a bit. The cheese was a combination of whole milk mozz, aged sharp provolone and Fontina. I really liked this combination.

Topped and ready

First one on at 650F- done in about 6 mins

Next one

Very pleased with the results

And just so you don't think I've turned my Egg completely into an outdoor coal-fired pizza oven, here's a few other recent cooks.

Send me your address, immediately. I will be there by dinnertime, even if I have to hire a private plane.

 Thanks Judy, come on over, it's a long flight though to Tampa! I was just north of you last week in Orange County. I like CA but I sure don't like those flights back and forth from Tampa.

I guess I have to work on my food pics (or maybe it's my FOOD). Judy has never invited herself to MY house!

Those look really nice. I have had my egg for around a month. We have done pizza the last three Friday nights, and this past Saturday I did calzones for the first time. I'm still working on my dough as sometimes I have a hard time working it into a skin, but I'll get there eventually.
