I'm getting in the habit of putting up some burgers every month so they are on hand for an easy meal. Not wanting to get bored with one of my favorite foods I have been experimenting. This months recipe is pretty good.

I was in Sam's Sunday and found some ground chuck marked down to $1.89/lb. so I grabbed two packages. Each 6.36 pounds. In a large bowl I placed 1/2 a package of ground chuck and added:

1 T Salt
1 T Black Pepper
2 t Garlic Powder (Tone's)
2 t Onion Powder (Tone's)
1 T Minced Garlic (Tone's)
2 T Minced Onion (Tone's)
1 T Garlic Powder (McCormick)
1 T Kitchen Bouquet
1 T Gravy Master

T = Tablespoon t = teaspoon

I found mixing went fairly well with a two tined kitchen fork, about 8-10" long and I was not over handling the ground chuck wich can make burgers dence and tough. With all the seasonings well mixed in I added the other half of a package of meat and mixed it in. This made it easier then trying to mix a very full bowl. When this was done I put it in the frig and tackled the other package. With all the ground chuck seasoned I used my digital scales and weighed/shaped each burger to .636 pounds, 10 to the package of beef. I had also picked up 5 pounds (120 slices) of American Cheese at Sam's. I counted out 4 slices of cheese for each burger and wraped 2 stacks (eight slices) in plastic wrap/film.
Powering up the FoodSaver I sealed 2 burgers and a package of cheese together, dated and froze them.

In the end I had ten packages for the freezer, 20 burgers. These burgers are large enough one is plenty for a meal. The seasonings are good, I love garlic and onions and this mix works for me with out being overpowering. The Kitchen Bouquet and Gravy Master are similar, you could use one or the other if you don't have both. They give the burgers a richer comfort food quality. These I cooked tonight came out a little over done for me, next time I would pull them about 5º sooner.
