Spiderweb Cracks

I've had my egg for about 3 months now, and I have just noticed spider web cracks in the top section. The cracks are all over the top but none on the bottom. I did not notice this until the sun hit it just right. Is this cracks in the ceramic or just the paint? Has anyone else had this problem? It sits in the sun uncovered, is that the problem?

it is normal it is called crazing and will not affect the performance of your egg

Agree with Bente. I've had two large eggs for slightly over two years and both have the same thing. One is kept inside and the other is outside all the time.

How do you keep an egg inside, whtfarmer? We're waiting for ours to arrive and are planning to keep it outdoors on a brick patio, but would a screened porch work?
