I would figure out how many you can cook per batch, will you have a dedicated egg or have to share, how long to cook per batch and then figure how many batches you wish to cook in a 6 hour period. OH don't forget to leave some time for yourself to visit and smooze.

I think I cooked 5 lbs. depends how long you want to cook. If you cook to much you will be bring some home. IMHO

I might be off with the 5, but don't get carried away.
  • You're probably talking 15 chicken wings per pound. I read someone's post saying to make the equivalent of 100 servings which would put you at about 7 lbs. To me, that doesn't seem like that much so I would at least double that.

Well If I run 28 wings for two hours per batch and times 3 batches in 6 hours that would be 84 wings how ever many pounds that is.

I called BGE corprate and asked if we could talk about the eggfeast he said yes. So, if any of you has ever talked to me before you would agree I make sure I understand. I asked if someone else would be cooking on my egg and he said yes. So, I asked if Cindy has regestered with me to cook would she be my other cook and he said yes. Then I said that means Cindy and I will have one egg to our self and he said that was true.

We went on about chairs and tables and tents he said that there will be some there but it will be first come first get. So, he said if you need these things you need to bring them.

I am a first timer for this event and I realize all may be differnt but I would like to bring the stuff and not need it than have a some what ruff day.

When I grilled at Indy's eggfeast a couple months back I seldom sat down. I talked the whole time.

    Thanks all for everything.

Now I realize that I just need to wing it!

Get it; wing it!

    Fidel,
I just figured out a way to get rid of the neighbors cat's. Do you have a cook on that? :silly: The last time I got a cat in the egg he squalled so loud I had to open the lid to let him out and the inside looked like it got a through cleaning!

My dad did wings at the eggfest in Springfield, MO he ordered 40lbs of wings from sams and took home about 2 lbs he had left.

He did 3 different flavors and i hear they went over well along with his trailride beans and peach cobbler

Wish i could have been there

we cooked at Springfield a couple of weeks ago, did 15 lbs. of wings, along with 8 lbs. of meat loaf. there were no leftovers, through cooking about 1:30. on a large, single grid that was about 4 batches, if I remember right, anyway, have fun

  • At Waldorf last year we did 15 lbs of wings and they evaporated! We also had 12 lbs of legs and thighs ...all we took home was empty ziplocks.
