Pretty much...
:P -
I see no reason why not. You may want to add a bit more liquid than called for.

the low setting of your most crosk pots is about 225 the high setting is about 300 degrees. that is the temp of the coils that wrap around the ceramic inserts of most crock pots..

Since you already have some answers, I more curios as to what you are going to cook????

Here is the link. I was going to throw it in a dutch oven and cook like a crock pot. My only concern is with having a lid on the pot I wont get any smoke.

Thanks for the quick responses. -
start the cook at 300 and wait an hour, modify temps up or down at that time for a light simmer.my inderect setup with camp dutch oven likes 320 for a light simmer. no cover, but you might want to have some low sodium broth to add during the cook. wear gloves for opening and closing the dome as steam builds up in there and will cause a nasty burn

I agree with Fishlessman. I have used chuck roast for beef carbonade at a similar temperature and it turns out fantastic. With the lid off, you add that lovely smoke flavour. Just be prepared to add some additional liquid.

Just set the crockpot in the Egg. You can run the cord through the draft door.
