Morning All:

The Sweetbay supermarket near our house closed a few months ago and the next closest one isn't on the way that I normally travel. Well tonight I was returning from beautiful downtown Fort Lonesome after visiting one of my "kids" and just had to stop at the Sweetbay. Picked a package of their Blueberry sausage for me and Johnsonville Italian Sausage for EggHatter, plus some Tator Tots.

Cranked up one of the larges to 450+ and on went the tots...

The sausages went on the small, blueberry in front, Italian in the back...

The tots finished up first and are looking tasty...

The small was taking forever to get above 300, so I moved the sausages to the very hot large to finish quickly and then off to the plate...

and of course the close up of each...

They were as good as I remember and I've got to do them more often!

Have a GREAT day!

Yum!! I love me the sausage..and blueberries. Any spice to those? Sweet or savory? Great post, thanks Jay.

    Morning Molly:

Not really much spice. The package actually lists them as blueberry, cinnamin sausages. They are a little sweet, but very, very tasty! Just as Car Wash Mike...he had some in Omaha when I came to that EggFest a couple of years ago and has been bugging me ever since to bring them to the next Fest we are at together (may Atlanta next month?).

    Have a GREAT day!

    Morning Pat:

I have used them in a sausage roll before and thought it was pretty good. If I remember correctly I used swiss cheese with them. May have to try it again in Atlanta :ermm:

    Have a GREAT day!
