Baking Stone Alternatives

So I called earlier to my local BGE dealer to see if they had a baking stone yet when I got there they thought I was talking about the plate setter and do not even carry most of the egg-cessories on hand. My wife and I were really looking to make some pizza this evening with are Egg.
Has anyone bought a baking stone from a store like Bed Bath & Beyond and used that instead? My assumption is the stones are pretty standard just the BGE ones have the logo imprinted. Thanks.

The BGE pizza stone is a thicker ceramic than any other ones I have seen. I know someone that bought a cheap stone at Target and it worked out fine. Beware of the Pampered Chef stone - it will break if used on the egg.

TampaHappily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

The BGE ones are great. I just got done making 12 pizzas for a party we had this afternoon. I've heard mixed reviews of the others. If your dealer doesn't stock them, he can certainly order you one.

I have broken two Pampered Chef stones, and two from BB&B. I also broke a Primo stone. I finally bought an EGG stone, two years ago and haven't broken it yet.
Save your time and your money and get the right one. -
I have one from the ceramic grill store and one from amazon. Both work well.
