Hi DOW!! (Yep...I survived the weekend...  ) Tim and I have done the green beans like asparagus...we blanched them a bit, and wrapped in prosciutto...Grilled them direct till the prosciutto crisped up. The beans got a bit shrivled looking on the ends, but it was a very tasty result!! If you are simply going to grill the beans, I would definately blanch them first, then grill for the flavor. (they dont have nearly as much moisture content as the asparagus)
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out!

LOL....I think it was a pretty equal balance of food, and booze.... :woohoo:
A great time was had by all!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
We did homemade summer sausage, grilled romaine salad, hangar steaks, boneless leg of lamb, racks of lamb.......I'm sure there was more, but too tired to recall at this time... :silly:
I hope you can make it next year!

if they are young and thin ,, they really do not need to be a whole lot more than hot.. bite a raw one .. check for how fiberous it is ...

I do them all the time on the grill... olive oil and salt... sometimes lemon juice... If they are thin (like Haricot Verts), then I'd do in a slotted pan... it will prevent some of the flames directly charring them...
