Wet Lump...Can I Save it?

The predictions were wrong again and a storm sneaked in on me this afternoon and I had a bag of charcoal get wet. Will it dry out or do I need to just trash it and move on?

lay it out in the sun to dry out, then use a little at a time on top of an established fire.

No sense in tossing it. Let it dry out and give it a try. You might be in for a pleasant surprise.

ive had the bags rot off, just put it in the garage/shed/wherever its dry and use it later.

I did a cook on the mini at a friends house. When we were done, we put the lump in a foil pan to let the egg cool faster. I poured water in the pan to put the coals out.
A week later after the coals were dry, I tried using them in another steak sear on the mini. They lit and cooked with no problems. I say dry them and go for it. -
As long as you don't let it sit and get moldy, you can dry it out and reuse it with no problems.The Naked Whiz

Oh no, not the Wicked Good...I would do whatever I can to get THAT stuff dried out. -
Sadly (or luckily) I still don't have that in my possession. Vance has been very generous with his storage space in waiting on me to find time to get down to OKC.
