Hi guys, I was finishing my egg install last night and the last clinch stud broke while I was tightening it :( . Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. I called around to all the local hardware stores and no one carries these specialty bolts.

Call a Fastener Company in your area. Where are you located ? Which one ?

    There are two sizes, either 1/4 -20 x 5/8 or 1/4 -20 x 3/4.

I hope that helps. If you lived near me I would be able to get you a few as "samples" from one of my vendors. I sell Fasteners.

    Good luck.

I live in the STL region. It's the small 1/4 X 5/8 one.
I'm surprised they don't throw an extra one in the package for you. I'll try searching for a Fasteners company .. thanks!

Contact the Mothership or your dealer...

Call Mothership. Did the same thing. Called Bobby and he sent me out a hardware pack and a bottle of touch-up enamel. If you need one quick, then get the same size machine screw and gently grind down the top until the screwdriver slot disappear. It works, I had to make one. For some reason it took Mothership 2 weeks.

Captive is the maker of the fastener. Pem is a competitor that makes the same size clinch bolt. Not sure if this will help.
