thanks for the in-progress advice Pat, but you are correct, it wasn't all cooked in one day, this actually began yesterday with the wings & abts, & some leftover wings were used for part of the abt filling... it was a rather disjointed moving target complicated by a lot of beer & intermittent visitors, looking back at the post I almost cannot believe it came out in the chronological order I intended :blink:

this is a knock off however of Chris' maple fatty, same ground spare rib concept, & of course his seasoning; not shown in the post was the standard maple fatty (shown below), which was the appetizer for this & two other pies, one being a classic garden tomato & basil, & the other being an olive oil, mozzarella, salt & hot pepper flake pie, I had very esteemed guests over for dinner, the man that built the hut & family, so nothing but my best effort would do:
