The thread is long gone now but did I read that FLA Grilling Girl and I were to choose the mystery ingredients for the next one? I see Ron and Kim are both online now. Anybody got any suggestions as to when?

You get to choose the ing, and take the reins for this round regarding restrictions, dates, judging, and all else. Along with your co-winner of course.
Let me know if you want me to assist, but YOU DA MAN! -
Ron,
Want to wait a couple more weeks?

well you should definately contact FlaGrillgirl, but yes it might be a little late for this week anyway.
-
Steve, why don't you and FL Grilling Girl have a face off. I hate ties. We need a winner in this. What do you think? The second place winner can pick the ingredients.
-
I think you should come to OKC for an IEC, and there should be more than 1 judge to avoid ties.
Mike -
Mike,
What would you suggest for the judging? Kind of hard to take a poll on this platform. Panel of 3?

Anne,
The first one is just for fun. I hope this becomes a regular event. I'll take my tie and be happy with it . Scared to go one on one with Faith.

3 would avoid ties. and they could use .5 points as well.
Mike -
i think have multiple judges would increase the liklihood of a tie. Im not crazy about the tie either, but the judge has spoken and thats the way it is. L.S. & FGG will decide how round no.2 will be handled.
-
Mike,
What would they do, award a number of points for each entry based on the same criteria Kim used and highest point score wins? A tie could still happen but they could confer and break the tie before the announcement.

I was going to give Fla Grillin' Girl 1 extra point for being better looking than Steven but then I thought he is so cuddly.....oops did I say that out loud...
:woohoo:
Hey Steven I think you & Faith get to set the rules & ingredients for the next one ...maybe WMK can set up a poll for 1-2 hours so people could vote -

-
Kim,
Yer cute and cuddly yourself but that's not important here. We can check on the poll cause I think that would be the best way or one long thread with no other comments.

How about a Labor Day event. An excuse for a good sized cook and plenty of feedback from your guest.
I think chicken can be hard to find a new variety or way to cook. -
Just a space in the parking lot

Oh come on Steve! We need a winner! Not a tie. I'm starting a post on this!!

What a gift. I always just spend a lot of money and then beg. Seem to remember a "cat" in there as well.

Steve next week would be great!! i am on vacation and could devote more attention and time to be able to compete and maybe you could choose some ingredients that i would know or be able to get here in my neck of the woods.... :P
-
Mike,
I was kind of thinking the weekend after this.

so that would be good cause i will be on vacay still then ! :woohoo:

Hey Steven, I think they should be once a month. We want more participation and if we do it every week, or every other week, people might get burned out on it.
You and I should be in touch and decide together what should be done next time.

once a month is cool! and give a week to plan and do a number of reminders through the week. Or maybe the post could be stickied that week before with the ingredients and the rules. but not the judges LOL or can a poll be set up and so you can only vote once? just some ideas
