Ribeye Roast Rub
Albs
Posts: 30
I have a 6.5 lb boneless ribeye roast I am getting ready to egg up tomorrow, and I want to get a tasty garlic flavor going on. Any ideas for a good garlic rub? Should I use garlic salt or powder or both? I was also planning on inserting a few cloves into the roast as well...thoughts, ideas, suggestions??? Thanks!

I use Garlic powder, Onion Powder, fresh ground pepper, kosher salt, then I spray it with a canola oil nonstick spray and rub with the back of a spoon or a spatula. The oil keeps the spices from falling off after a sear.....and the canola oil can handle pretty high heat.

You can insert sliced garlic cloves into little tiny slits you can put in the roast. Sea or Kosher salt around the outside and then keep your fingers out of the way once the forks start flying.
Have fun with it.
