Made this last night and it turned out to be very good. This is one you have to try.

Here is the recipe.
three parts flour and one part corn starch
mix in your favorite rub.I used one teaspoon shakin the tree
cut up one whole chicken and dip in egg wash
put in the fridge resting in a colander and let it drain and set up for six to eight hours covered with a plastic bag.
Remove and dust the chicken with the flour and cornstarch mix.
On the Egg indirect raised grid 375 dome. Enjoy.
cook for one and a half hours.

that looks super! Did I read that correctly that you dip in eggwash then put in frig? Is the bird skin dry or tacky after that?
-
That is correct. The chicken was tacky and I think that covering it with a plastic bag kept it from drying out.It did make it great for the flour and starch rub to stick well plus a even coating al over the chicken.

that's looks superb.....what does the eggwsh consist of?
-
Just three whole eggs beaten up.The seasoning is in the flour mix.

I made this last night with thighs and bone-in breasts. Followed your instructions/pictures exactly. The whole family loved it and it is a definite "do-over".
Even my 13-year old daughter (fondly known as Miss Picky) ate a second piece.
Thank you for your post.
