New Egg and Table

I got my egg up and running on my new table in time for Memorial Day. I replaced all the hardware I could with stainless steel and coated the remainder with a protective spray used by salt water boaters. The table is out of cypress tongue and groove. We put the egg in the middle instead of on the side to give us place to put platters on either end.

Very nice. If I were to re build my table I think I would put it in the middle also.

I applied three coats of spar urethane and used 0000 steel wool between coats. I'm having a cover made for it.

Job well done. You must own a sailboat or something with marine grade teak.. :woohoo:SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Visit www.bubbatim.com for BRISKET HELP

Beautiful table. Congrats, and welcome to the EggNation!

Mother Hubbard,
Beautiful table. Those green feet should go under the egg though. People have had problems without them. If your height is off you can get thin firebricks to compensate.

You must be tall...in order to open the hot egg in the middle!! -

Very Cool!

Not teak, cypress. No boat. I just live within sight of the Atlantic and rust rolls in every day. Galvanized steels turns to dust, hence the conversion to stainless.
