OT Pepper Grinder

My pepper grinder of five years blew out the transmission and AAMCO wants too much to fix it. So, I need a heavy duty, hummer type grinder that can crunch the grinds. Any thoughts of where to buy? Thanks.

Got an electric as a gift and would never go back.
My son has electric salt and a pepper mills from Williams Sonoma Pepper Mill the shorter ones which are real nice.
I have a Trudeau Pepper Mill #3 in the picture. It has been fantastic.

our friend stike put us on to this company and I'm quite pleased with the products!

If you can get to an Ikea store, they sell several that use ceramic grinders and are very reasonably priced.

Talk about the height of laziness! I like it!

Trudeau makes a solid stainless one that is great. You can break the corns in two on coarsest adjustment.

It is by far the best grinder I have ever used. -RP

stike's just mad because I laughed when he whipped it out. it was just so small, comparatively speaking.

Sorry about your loss ... most of us become attached to our daily kitchen items ... If you are into the custom grinders ... I hand make pepper mills / salt grinders ... I use ceramic crush grind mechanisms that are guaranteed for life. There are only a few currently shown on my website (www.mattesoncreations.com) but when it is custom, anything is possible! Let me know if you have questions ... I'd be glad to help out a fellow egghead!

I thought so too when it was given to me.
However, after the first use I never used pre-ground again. Aroma and flavor is sooooooo much better.
When I am making a 16 qt pot of Chile no problem grinding out 4T of fresh pepper in a hurry. :P

I have ordered the Trudeau Pepper Mill #4 in that picture, thanks to you!
