Here is the picture of the cracked fire ring. I'm still depressed about it. I'll try and cook with it a few times and see what happens.
I can only blame myself, and someone that's not around.

Uh.......that's a firebox. The fire ring is the thing that goes on top of that It's covered under warranty

They most all crack at onew time or another, it is like a puzzle sometimes. It wont affect the Egg or cooking. Just be carefull when cleaning the Egg and put the pieces back in.

Baby J, It is not a big deal. It will still work for the next 20 years crack and all. You can have your dealer get you a new one under warranty but you may have to pay for shipping. If memory serves, I think nakedwhiz.com had an opinion about it. His was in three pieces. No worries mate! :silly: :woohoo: :PSEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Cracked fire box, no big deal. Call your dealer or the mother ship and get a new one under warranty. Simple.
-
My mistake. Which is covered?
-
It is the box, not the ring. My mistake. So is the box under warranty? And for how long?
baby j -
How long of a warranty is it? I'll call the mothership or the dealer I got it from and see. Thanks?

If you bought it from a dealer, LIFETIME!

Technically, I won my egg. So if the lifetime warranty is true, then yes life is goooood.

I wouldn't even bother with the warranty. The old cracked one works perfectly well. Most people that get new ones under warranty never bother to put them in. They sit in the garage or in a shed, because the cracked one is fine. BGE should have designed it as a 3 piece deal to begin with.
