I give up
The egghead forum was one of teh most friendly forums on the net however for the last three weeks I have been unabl to sign on. so not knowing wha to do I surrender.

I manually reset your password and did a test login using your account. Your account appears to be working fine with the new password.
You should by now have receive a change of password email. Hopefully, you'll be able to get going again. If you're still having problems, then we'll need to check your browser settings. -
