For the past two or three weeks the air has been filled with the sweet smell of Orange Blossoms, actually Satsuma Blossoms.
I had a yield of over 250 last year, this year it looks to be doubled. :woohoo: They should be ready for picking around the time of Eggtoberfest. :woohoo:

That's fantastic Eddie! That's the most exciting news I've heard since lunch! Just one question from this humble egghead who is not much of a world traveler and don't get much further then the back yard on any given day . . . errr . . . What on earth is a Satsuma???
:ermm:  :S  :woohoo:

  It is a citrus fruit from the size of a tangerine to a full size orange. They are easy to peel and sweet almost a cross between a sweet orange and a tangerine. They are widly grown from Florida to Lousisana and Sout East Texas The best citrus fruit grown, bar none.

COOL!
I had no idea.

I know they have these in the southern part of mississippi. I am supprised you haven't heard of them. Very popular in Southern Louisiana. If you like citrus, try one. They get ripe in October and November. You can find them at most road side fruit stands. They can handle the cooler temps a little better than an orange it seems.

Wish I could grow them hear in S. ARK but just a little to cold. I likes them!

It would be worth trying. I baby this thing when it gets cold. Covered with blankets and a big tarp with a few lights to keep it cozy.

Thank God, I thought you were getting a little fluffy white dog tanked, Sorry.
:P
They sound great Eddie, I love the fruit down here. I would surround my house with citrus trees but I can't eat it but once in a great while. :(
