We have to say a big THANK YOU to everyone we met at the Waldorf Eggfest 2009. We (Joel & Erin) have been using our egg for almost a year but Waldorf was our first Eggfest and we met some of the greatest people! Showing up as the 'new guys' we set up right by the door of Seasonal Distributers and kept our food simple ... wings with home made rub, corn on the cob and grilled caesar salad. It took no time at all to feel very welcomed by the rest of you Eggheads and throughout the day and onto the after party, we made many friends. We are truly looking to continue friendships on the forum and attend many more events ... Thanks Sally for the invite to Tiki Fest ... we are hoping to make it.

Again ... great food, great friends ... the most fun we have had in a long time! Can't wait for more.

Joel

  • Thanks Kim,

I'm sure we said 'hello' at some point during the day or at the after party. We won't be strangers!

    Morning Joel:

It was our [SSN686 (Jay) & EggHatter (Kathy)] pleasure to cook next to you. For your first fest you certainly outdid yourselves with amount and QUALITY of food you cooked. Looking forward to seeing at some of other fests and again next year at Waldorf. B)

I am sorry you had to put up with Celtic Wolf (Pete) though

    Have a GREAT day!

Great to meet you guys. Those wings were inredible. I told my wife she missed out on them. (also told her she missed out on meeting another "Matteson" clan. ;) )
  • Thanks Jay ... the pleasure was all ours. It was certainly nice to walk into our first eggfest and get greeted by a handshake and an few extra hands to set up our rain cover! After our introductions I knew it was going to be a fun time. Thanks for the help, the compliments, and the great food. We will certainly cross paths again in the near future!

  • Ahh yes, I certainly remember the 'other' Matteson. Both you guys were fun to hang out with. We were talking later about not only the type of people that were cooking at Eggfest but the type of people Eggfest attracted and how it always seemed to be a fun group of people. Hope to see you guys with a fire going next to us at an Eggfest in the future!
