My first EggFest

I just got home from the Waldorf, MD EggFest. WOW! I have been smoking & grilling for years and always heard the great things about the BGE, but had never witnessed them in action ...... let alone sample everyones specialties. I am hooked. I NEED one! Luckly my buddy took his home today and I can play with his until I can arrange to buy mine from an EggFest. You Eggers are a great bunch of people, everyone was very helpful and friendly .... I hope to learn a few things from the forum while I save a few dollars up. (Thanks in advance)

    Welcome, Turtle! We have Egg owners, Owners of multiple Eggs, and, plenty who participate (or even just lurk....watch) the forum while saving/waiting for their Egg. You will learn lots here! There are many very talented and experienced people.
    Glad you enjoyed the fest! They are an excellent time, to say the least! Can't wait for our next fest, which will be Octoberfest (at BGE headquarters).

    Sorry I wasn't there this year but even though that was a rowdy and unruly bunch they are still quite the crew! If you thought they were great, wait till you meet some of the really nice Eggers! ;)

    I consider anyone giving me good 'free' food to be nice, most of those folks seemed a bit unruly outside of that ;) ....... I think I will fit right in here!
