Thank You,

For your info and advise, I am so nervous it like having a kid again. I keep checking the egg every few minutes on temp to make sure it is okey. I hope I don't have a nervous breakdown.

Do you have a remote internal temp probe?

Don't need to open the dome until it's about done.

Patti....It's going to be just fine! ;) Besides...it's not anything like having kids! Kids hang around for years and years and years...guaranteed this butt won't hang around more than a couple hours! :woohoo: :woohoo:
Have fun with it!! Relax!!!!! ;)

    Redicheck is a Maverick ET-73.

Easy to use. I don't fool with setting all the alarms or the smoker temp.
Hint: Use a Sharpie and write on the back of the Receiver "Turn me on first". I was never able to remember which one to turn on first.

Stick the meat probe into the middle of your meat (not touching any bone), then plug it into the transmitter. Turn on the Receiver, then turn on the transmitter and you are set. To save batteries, I don't leave it on all the time, just go out and turn on the transmitter occasionally to check, then turn it off. When it gets close to finishing, I turn them both on so I can keep a watch from inside the house.
