Hi everyone, I did a search and didnt come up with any thing on using trioxane compressed fuel to start up their lump.As far as I know its a military fuel and it looks like a little soap bar.It lights up instantly and burns smokeless. It did a great job in my throw away charbroil pit.Hadnt used it in the egg yet.

Don't use it. It give off toxic fumes that may impart into the ceramic. I sed that crap in the Army. Bad smell if you got down wind. Get a map gas burner at Home Depot. IMHO.. :woohoo:You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Visit www.bubbatim.com for BRISKET HELP

I lit one on a calm day and stood over it.No smell and no smoke.Worked like a charm in my throw away charbroil.
