Julie, I just took this out of the box yesterday and thought of you. Look familiar?

They are everywhere. Found this in my garage.

Gave one to a friend 4 years ago and she painted it black, places easter eggs in it for the easter dinner center piece and Xmas bulbs during December. Sorry no pic. Visualize Easter grass with eggs on the trays and a large 8 inch egg in the top.
  • That's a good idea to paint it. I thought about staining mine to make it darker.

They guy I bought it from at a flea market said he bought it in the Phillipine's in the 70's while he was in the service. He said it is called a Poo-Poo platter.

He is correct. PU PU-Appetizer I bought my first in the Phillipines during Vietnam. They are made of monkey pod and used for various items. My ex has the first one I bought. Come in many shapes and sizes, square plates, round salad bowls with smaller serving bowls etc.

    One of many sites.
