Favorite Grill Tools?

I was curious if you had any favorite grill tools? I have found this set by Weber very handy.

The first three from the left are a set and you can add the two larger spatulas. They are good heavy stainless steel. The tongs are 16", everything else is 18" long and they have well padded handles. I have used the large fish turner, fourth from the left, to lift a leg of lamb on and off the grill with no problems. You could paddle a canoe with that thing!

Hi Larry,
Good point, someday soon I will upgrade and expand.

thirdhand
OXO tongs
bottle opener
woo ring
(not sure about the order)
(oh - thermapen?, chimney, indirect barrier)
I also love those silicone/neoprene oven glove type things usefull for hat & fatty things like pork. -
This may sound off the wall as a grill tool but when it comes to cleaning grates it's hard to beat a garbage can lid! I use a lot of auxiliary grates and wait until I'm in the mood to clean them - like today I cleaned 9 of them using DAWN.

Dang Ron. I must not be doing something I should be. I have never cleaned my grates with anything more than heat, a Lawn Ranger grid lifter and a brush. Those things look like new. Mine only look almost new.
Cheers mang!

Chris I just sent you an email explaining more of the story, but I use auxiliary grates at home resting on a couple bricks for raised purposes thus they get dirty. I very seldom have ever washed my main BGE grates themselves and like you hit them with a scraper or brush if need be. Guess I should have explained my post better!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

That's a good idea RRP, I was eyeing the birdbath the other day for the same task.

oops - almost forgot the trusty Grill Wizard scrubber.
