Rib Ends Burning?

So for the last few batches of ribs, some of the ends of the slabs of ribs are starting to char. Here is the setup:
Large egg
Full load of lump
Plate setter upside down
standard grate
V rack
BBQ guru set to 225
6 racks of ribs
Now some of the ends that overhang over the plate setter(more direct heat then)are getting a char.
I was thinking of taking some foil and placing it under the ends to create more of and indirect setup, would this work. Or what do you guys do?? anyone ever had this problem?
Thanks
Bryan

Anytime your color is getting darker than you want it, a foil tent or boat or shield is a good idea. I have a hotspot in the rear of my Egg, so I will always put one let of the plate setter back there to act as a shield from the heat.

I cut off 3-4 bones off the meatiest side. Then place them on top of the 6 slabs cooking. Takes some time to rotate a little, but no charred ends.

My thoughts exactly!
Thanks Bunch!
