low wind vs air flow
outrageous

i am in middle of cooking ribs, have temp of 225, holding well. have vent on bottom wide open and top wide open, i have egg on deck with two sides of house blocking wind, it is dead still outside..is this lack of air flow effecting my temp. it is fine now, but if i wanted to raise up, is this lack of wind a factor.
Large egg and mini max egg plus a Blackstone griddle

I think it is a lack of air flow. Sounds like the holes in the fire grate are blacked. Use a wiggle stick to clean them out. Then close the vents. You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Visit www.bubbatim.com for BRISKET HELP

Tim's right on. Ya know he's a pretty smart feller. You don't need wind for air flow so probably a clogged fire grate.

The only other thing could be damp lump.If it is fresh and dry get that coat hanger workin.

Something is wrong with your dome thermometer. Or your ribs are touching the dome thermometer.
Im cooking ribs at 275. Both bottom vent and daisy wheel are open a little bit. Im in Illinois- no wind, cool day.
Good luck.
