Took two rib eyes and marinated them for one hour in soy sauce. Then patted them dry and brushed some melted butter on both sides of the steak. In twenty seconds or so the butter had set up and then I added Raising the Steaks Rub on both sides of the meat.
Some mushrooms and onion ready to go.
Seared two minutes per side.
Let rest for twenty minutes and finished them up.
I do believe that by adding the butter is what made it blacken up.

I've tried the soy & butter on lambchops but never on beef. Looks like I need to add this one to the list. Nice looking steaks.

Nice char on those ribeys. Did you use the mush & onion as a topping.

I made those first and just had to reheat at the end for the topping.
