Seems like a dumb question but I never remember any one giving this as a tip for more flavor to your sauce. It does make you think ahead to roast it but I would think it would be worth extra step for better results.I have my three day beer infused dough ready to go along with all of the toppings. The sauce does taste good as I added one or two cloves at a time squeezed out till I got the flavor that I wanted.Do not assume the quantity of whatever you are adding.Because if you put to much in it is a bitc__ to remove it.Or start all over again.Been there done that.

    Good idea.

I typically simmer my tomato sauce with some whole garlic cloves to impart the flavor. The roasted garlic is a great thought.

I have some 4 day dough I am setting out to cook in about 2 hours.

When we cook the Chicken Alfredo pizza we roast garlic and onion. We press the garlic on the sauce with the chopped rasted onion. It really enhances the flavor....
