The last few months I been reading so much on how you all just love your Mini. Thanks to Gene & Pat I was able to get a used one which was like new, only used 3 times. It was brought to my attention by Egret that it's one of the first Mini's made. The dome vent is smaller, the hinge system has two connected to the dome on the side instead of just one. Vent on the bottom is Black not stainless steel. I love my new old Mini.
It's hard to imagine a had full of coal can cook a whole meal and how fast it gets up and going to high temp when you need it.
Thanks to Sparky with the plate setter he made up, I used it when I did up Baked Potatos, then pulled it off to do up the Flat Iron's

So, did "Sparky" make that plate setter out of plexiglass?  I can't see it, but your meal looks great. Glad you're enjoying the new Mini.

Mike, be careful with that little fella, they are addictive, you'll now be trying to adapt everything you cook to fit on the mini, it is the coolest little cooker, my mini pizza stones arrived yesterday & we're gonna have a little mini pizza-fest this weekend with them; I like the two-hinge set-up too, now I'm wondering why they did away with that? Cost, who knows, enjoy your new additionhappy in the hut

Allready pulled it off to put the Flat Irons on.

Thats what it looks like. -
PBM you answered a question I've recently had about the mini and how some have a single arm proping the dome and some have 2. All I had seen on the forum have had 1 but when I went to a local dealer, the new one had 2. That was only a couple of weeks ago. I guess he has had trouble selling it.
