After reading the post about pork tenderloin and pineapple it got me to wondering. I usually think of pork with apple sauce or ham with pineapple regardless of how it's fixed.

So, what is you opinion of pork and pineapple together???

Thanks,

Bordello

    That's my favorite pizza!

The salty and sweet go very well together.

Thank you for the input but have you ever tried pork tenderloin and pineapple by themselves???

I'm guessing if it's good on pizza it should be good anyway. but it seems strange to me. :S

  • Well & Soooo…
In regard to pork! I love both! Pretty much as you mentioned.
But...Try the two together! Pineapple and apple sauce really do a number with each other, especially (at least in my mind) with a bit of thyme and garlic added to the mix!
But, I’m a bit twisted that way, if you ask my wife. :P
I also like snow to play on and cold enough…To keep it snow  !

I think it would go fine together myself, but I might be twisted in my thinking too. In the last few weeks I have tried roasted mango chipotle, blackberry chipotle, and mango habanero sauce on pork. I also have been putting dp pineapple head rub on everything since I got it in the mail last weeek.

That's an interesting idea. I have canned pineapple slices. Would you just cut em up into chunks and mix with some apple sauce and cinnamon??? Severed cold over the tenderloin or???

Maybe grill the slices then cut them up to chuncks, letcool and mix in with some apple sauce, brown sugar and cinnamon??? Severed cold or the tenderloin or butterfly the loin and put the cold mixture in the center of the tenderloin, tie it back together and into the egg.

    Thanks,

good, this is marinated and the sweet chili sauce is killer. same marinade and chili sauce works well with boneless chicken thighs. i like the meat charred with the sweet sauce

    Thanks,
Sounds good to me also. Hmmmmm
How about pineapple slices soaked in rum over night, then a light coating of cinnamon and brown sugar, grilled for a few minutes, then cut into small pieces after cooling, mixed with apple sauce/brown sugar & cinnamon. :)

Butterfly the tenderloin and add the filling, close and tie it up. Grill or plank to 145.

    Damn, now I'm hungry. :woohoo:
Have to buy enough rum so I have enough for me.  :woohoo:
