Sorry - no pics. Too busy cooking and visiting - forgot to take the pics!

Yesterday was my birthday and since I had bought some lobster tails on sale at 'The Fresh Market' here, I decided to cook lobster tails, shrimp, asparagus and roasted potatos (oven). My best friend from high school, Clay, and my brother, who's wife is out of town, joined Jana and me in this celebration of my ** th birthday. :)

First the side: - asparagus 'rafts' with EVOO and Dizzy Dust. This has turned out to be one of our favorite sides!

Shrimp: Skewered shrimp brushed with EVOO then liberally coated on one side with Swamp Venom :cheer: and on the other side lightly with turbinado sugar. Cooked at 400* direct for 5 minutes with the sugar side down, then turned and cooked an additional 1-2 min. on the SV side. I slid them off the skewers (after burning the cr*p out of my finger on the metal skewer) into a pan with bubbling butter, lemon juice and minced garlic. Stirred this over the fire for 30-45 seconds, then into the oven to keep warm.

Lobster tails: Used Houndog's recipe "to the tee" and produced the best grilled lobster I have ever eaten.

Everyone loved the meal and it is definitely a "do over".

Thanks to all for the advice on the lobster tails and especially to Houndog for posting a great recipe! :silly:  :woohoo:
