Stick with Charcoal. If it is hard to get in your area then make some of the woods you mentioned. Don't use wood as even seasoned it will put off a lot of nasties burning in the egg. Remember the egg uses all the oxygen entering the vent. This is what makes the egg such a great cooker. Less air flow means moister food. This small amount of combustion does not lend itself to cooking. Here read more about it.
