bill, I have made a lot of gnocchi, I have put a lot of stuff on the gnocchi, I have never nor do I believe ever would have thought of scrapple on gnocchi, two of my favorite foods no less, I can imagine how good that one was, excellent ideahappy in the hut

Harleydog, it is basically cornmeal mush flavored with various unmentionable pork parts & fat, sliced & fried, a truly unique delicacyhappy in the hut

that was definitely out of the box, & regarding that pizza, how'bout the scrapplezza, could get messy however, probably need to cover the grid in foil, turn it into a giant frying pan, flip it then top it, maybe with scrambled eggs & American Cheese, ketchup if yer into that, homefries, man o man I am f'n starvin, but it is too late for me to eat, gives me nightmares :evil:happy in the hut

dad was a depression era child wwII vet, pa dutch [german] sent to chester county in the summer to work in the mushroom mines.. to get him out of the city ,, told me that the pork scraps were boiled in lye to kill the bateria and often he would find bits of saw dust from the butcher shop floor in the scrapple. traditionally cooked in a huge cauldron loke apple butter -
What the heck did they want to kill the bacteria for? Musta been the durn USDA on their case even back then!

William your slide show at this late hour of medication just taxes my patiants! :laugh: Pics provide instant gratification for those less stable and would be appreciated. From what I geather your hog parts look quite tastie in their high calarie base but will stick with my Eldeberry!!
