If you aren't using raw meat then just cook them long enough to heat through.

I have only done them twice, and both times I did them indirect at about 325*. Even with raw meat they only took 25-30 minutes.

I haven't ever done'em "precooked" but I would imagine that indirect at 325° as Rod suggests that they'll be done in 12-15 minutes. I'll be making the same thing here in about 1/2hour except I'll be using Frank in Houma's version.
  • Hey Hoss,
I've only used raw ingredients previously, did indirect about 25 mins...or used thermapen to check temp of my meats. I agree with Rod...it its already precooked...go 325...til reheated, probably no more than 15 mins

I have an awesome crab mixture if you'd like to try sometime.

The crab mixture would certainly be welcome! :woohoo:
  • Here you go Cory. Of course...I have attendancy to overdo it.

    6oz cream cheese softened
    1 1/2 Tbsp dijonaisse
    1 sm carrot grated
    1/4 cup minced celery
1/4 cup green onion tops chopped
1 lg or 2 sm cloves garlic grated
6 oz lump white crab meat
    Tostitos scoops
    1 1/4 cup mozzarella/provolone cheese
preheat Egg to 350, Indirect, In medium bowl, mix together first 6 ingredients until well combined. fold in crab meat, gently...until incorporated. Try not to break up crab meat too much. Spoon crab filling into scoops. Top each with shredded cheese. Place fill scoops onto airback pan or foil lined bake sheet. Bake Indirect at 350 for 10 minutes...serve hot.
