Gasket Glue OOPS

While gluing the new felt gasket with 3M 77, I accidently sprayed some adhesive inside the dome. I tried to wipe it off right away, but it just smeared.
Now what??? Will it just burn off when I fire it up for a high temp cook?
Thanks for any advise.

It should burn off.

Acetone (frequently found in finger nail polish remover) tends to dissolve many adhesives. The acetone would quickly evaporate from the ceramic inside the dome.
My general thinking is that either the 3M adhesive will be permanently stuck to the inside of the dome (in which case it won'r cause any trouble) or that it will tend to give off fumes when heated (in which case it will quickly be gone). I would recommend running the egg at a medium temperature (say 500 degrees) for an hour without any food inside and then shutting it down. See if you can detect any remnants of the adhesive.
Heck, the inside of my egg is coated with a thick layer of black gunk. If the adhesive is sticky at all, the smoke/ash/grease will cover it up and seal it pretty quickly.

Cook like you normally would. There probably is not enough to worry about.
