Rock fish temp ?
Meat
Posts: 233
Just got two big rock fish filets. What's a good temp? Direct or indirect. I'm already gonna be set up indirect at 350 for a batch of drumsticks. Thanks. FG

FG:
I did my first and only rockfish filet last November. It was a small filet so I did it direct in a grill pan. For a larger filet I imagine 350 indirect would work. I am curious to see if anyone responds with a temperature. I don't think I have seen any posts with temperatures for fish. I didn't even think to use my Thermopen. I've always cooked fish until it looks done. I have some in the freezer and next time I am going to put this old bay butter on it that was so good on Halibut.

Trex noted to pull salmon at 137 degrees. I've found that to be perfect.
