Adding Orange Juice to turkey brine???
can you add orange juice to a basic salt/sugar turkey brine??? I'm thinking of adding 16 oz of orange juice to a turkey brine for a hint of citrus. Will it adversely effect the brine process in any way???

I did and it came out fine. Just a hint a flavor.
I also brined with Apple Cider and brown sugar and will not do that again. The skin on the turkey look like asphalt. The flesh was OK.
