Dinner For Eight

We had some friends over for dinner tonight and had lots of fun. I am going to start with dessert, because Susan really outdid herself tonight with this chocolate torte, decorated with white chocolate, holly leaves.

Everyone got their own leaf! Thumb Up

Susan also did a nice job with the table setting.

For my part, I fixed grilled pineapple and Kentucky Bourbon, Pork Tenderloin.
Then I added leek risotto with white truffel oil and sauted fennel, Brussels Sprouts, and onion, that I finished by braising in white wine, chicken stock and balsamic vinegar.

Very nice dinner Bob. Must have been a special meal.

Nice spread! How did you prepare the pork?
Brussel sprouts with balsamic is one of my favorite side dishes. I cut them in half, remove the core, separate the leaves, then saute in butter or bacon grease.

The recipe for the pork is in the cookbook section (Kentucky Bourbon Pork). It is one of our favorites.
I also make it with pork loin, but cut it in strips about the size of a tenderloin, because the marinade works better.
I will have to try doing sprouts that way!! -
That is my favorite way to cook sprouts as well.
