as some of you know, my mother passed away last sunday and the funeral was yesterday.. thanks to all who posted and e-mailed. i am grateful for your prayers, thoughts and support
the very first thing the funeral director said was "there is a special rose bush in there, i will make sure you do not forget to take it home" thank you JL and Mrs. JL for you prayers, support, e-mails and friendship.
when i got back to the church entrance zippylip walked thru the door with a handshake and a hug,, he lives two counties over and has to get his children to soccer and as some of you know he has espresso and biscotti with his daughter every saturday. ZL, I cannot figure out how you found the time but it meant more to me than i can express here.
dinner is on the egg for the first time in 2+ weeks fireplace is warm, wine is cold and i am grateful for all the blesings and friendship
some days it really is good to be me

You are fortunate to have such good friends. Prayers are still with you that your Mother's memory will stay fresh in your heart.

It sounds like you are ready for some down time and have it all set. Take the time to enjoy and reflect on the good things. Julie

I am very sorry to hear about your loss bill, really :( But I'm glad to hear that your getting back into your normal routine. That usually helps in the grieving process(at least for me it does).Keep on keepin on my man
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers buddy. -
Bill when I arrived here this summer you didn’t know me from Adam, but that did not stop you from extending an open invitation to me, and giving unconditional and ongoing help ever since. These are things a friend does - I would not have missed being there at a very difficult time.
By the way you have raised astounding young men. I am quite sure they brought great joy and pride to your mother.happy in the hut

Bless you, son! So sorry to hear of your loss. It's very hard to lose a 'momma'......I know....I've had to endure that. God bless your family and may she live on within each of you she touched......

i am getting back to a routine and working on some new plans,, i have been greiving every saturday and sunday morning for the last year and a half so i think i am in good shape but then again i am the only one who thinks that. i do feel, in my heart, all the prayers and i am grateful for them,

bill,
Your grace and strength through what must be an incredibly tough ordeal is a wonder. I lost my dad at a very young age, but can't begin to imagine what it'll be like when "mama's" time comes.
You and yours are in our thoughts.

well that sure made me cry ,, having the pits standing next to me ready to hold me up if i needed it was such a source of comfort and strength to me.
after the service was over one of my friends who is familiar with my "egg life" and who knew you were there and saw the rose from JL said, and i quote "your egg friends are quite eggceptional""
not too bad from a guy who has never logged on to the forum,,,
like i said , some days , even the ones that are tough, it is good to be me

You and your family are in many of our prayers.
