Egg Patio progress

Still not quite ready to move the eggs down, but there has been good progress. A few things to fix and tweak, then hopefully things will be cleaned up this week....and the cooking begins! Getting a little anxious. It will be a treat after 10 years of cooking in the driveway or over by the trailer.
Anyways, here is the wide view.

Then a shot of the stairs. They turned out pretty cool. Trying to decide what kind of railing to install.

And then the fiberglass pond MrsNature and I bought 20 years ago when we got married....and never used. This will be a work in progress, I'll be tinkering with this for a while, but once the water starts falling off that top rock it should make some nice sounds.

Cooked wings and pork loin last night out by the trailer. Gotta get something to cook as I nervously watch our Redskins take on 1-11 cincinatti. We always lose to those kind of teams.
Have a great weekend!
Chris

The edit feature is at the bottom right next to quote and reply :laugh:BTW,I would think some nice wrought iron handrails would look great with the stonework :woohoo:

Very nice Chris. Will there be lights for a team hardcore breakin or will we have to rough it

Chris:
We had a small fibeglass pond like that and it was very difficult to keep clear. We changed to a slighlty bigger pond with a rubber liner and a waterfall and short of mucking the leaves out it always stays clear. Hidden to the right is the pump in a platic housing that is covered with a fiberglass rock.
The waterfall has some bio rocks it in and the whole thing acts like one big biofilter. If you stick with the fiberglass. I highly reccomend a waterfall.
Very nice patio. I sure it will be filled with good times. -

Chris,
Really nice man! Are you going to build the smokehouse with cement board? :(

Looks beautiful, Chris! I'm really proud for you. What a great place to kick back and build some memories. Or for that matter, drink so much that you have few memories.

Yea, but I made that almost a year ago right after the switch to this new forum format - I gave up posting it for a few months.
You have inspired me to resume. -
Nice looking digs for those Eggs. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

You're killing me. That looks so very nice! How badly I want to do something like that. However, I've still got Marina Ranger in private school, and Chubby in therapy. That doesn't leave much for luxuries. Hopefully, both will pay off in spades.
My best to you and yours this Special Season, My Friend.

Thanks guys!!

Will do. Thanks Max!
-
Thanks much. I think wrought iron is probably the ticket. Hopefully I can find something without too much detail. Much appreciate!
Chris -
Thanks buddy. I really look forward to strappin' on the ol' tool belt again. Afraid to order materials until I see that we are gonna have a good stretch of weather.
Hope you finish yours soon! Looks great, and seeing what you did with your last one, it should be nice and cozy.
Beers!

That's gorgeous. I was wondering about keeping it clean as it already has a bunch of poplar seeds in it. While I love their shade, those trees crap stuff all year long.
Beautiful water garden you have!
Chris -
Yeah, I did go out of my way to find the fire proof stone!
-
LOL. Naw, no smokehouse. But got the spot laid out for the firepit! Cheersmang!
Chris -
hehe. We don't have a homeowners association, which is nice, but even the county has rules about no signs. Guess we could have a private sign :-) Or I'd love to get a neon dizzy sign for the nature hut.
Hope all is well. Beautiful sunrise pic. Wish I was there.
Chris -
Very nice, Chris and, best of all, fireproof.
-
Looks great, Chris. You were right about the Redskins. Looks like I might need a good Crow recipe :(
