fresh scallops YUMMY! The old guy Ed, a total sweet heart, that owns the local gas station where we get gas, gets in fresh scallops right off the boat this time of year. I picked up a gallon :) and for the start of the season at a pretty good price $68.00. they are all about the size of a quarter +/- and oh so sweet. We were going to dinner at my parents and Neil was late getting home. So I melted a little butter in my 6inch cast iron pan and tossed in about 8 of them. 3 minutes on each side they they were caramelized. I ate them all before Neil go home, they were tiny you know :S and I had to do another pan to take to moms! LOL
