I bet I have had this mini over 2 years now and this will be my first time cooking on it. I bought it and lit a fire in it and closed it down to not open it again. Today I have a new spring band ordered for my large to replace the old bent one and a 13# picnic on the medium. So that only leaves the little fellow for supper duty tonight. So I have fired it up for a little clean out and test run.

The old band had bent up at the spring. It had already chipped the edge some.

Two years! - doesn't that count as some sort of reportable abuse?
(Actually I wonder how long it is since I cooked on one of my cookers that has fallen from my favour)

I use the large the most and the medium for fast hot cooks(could be why I keep having to replace the gasket)so the mini just gets left out. But no tonight I got the chops marinating in a apple/jamaican firewalk mix and the mini waiting to go with a little pecan added in just to say it's there. After discovering the eggs I have now given all my other grills away for others to enjoy. Jon
